Administrative/Accounting Manager


Job Description:
The Administrative/Accounting Manager position is responsible for managing the administrative, human resources and accounting operations of the business. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented person with strong organizational, analytical and managerial skills. The right person must have a strong work ethic and be able to maintain a positive attitude in a challenging environment. Candidates must be technologically savvy, have advanced accounting skills, and strong written, verbal and collaboration skills.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
  • Maintain procedures and controls related to companyís financial accounting system.
  • Management of the firmís computerized accounting system.
  • Coordination of month end accounting procedures.
  • Preparation of financial statements and monitoring of budget items.
  • Supervision/Management of office administrative staff.
  • Responsible for administration of payroll, human resources and regulatory compliance issues.
  • Provide operational information to senior management and owners.

  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 5 - 7 years of related experience
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills

    Parts/Service Support in Maine and New Hampshire


    Job Description:
    The primary role of the parts & service support role is to assist the parts/service department and shop technicians with strategic & operational needs on a day to day basis.

    Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support shop with parts requests and fill out requisitions/parts slips.
  • Assist shop technicians looking for parts / parts break-downs.
  • Monitor shop supplies and work with purchasing manager to maintain accurate levels.
  • Monitor parts inventory levels and work with purchasing manager to maintain accurate levels.
  • Clean and organize parts shelves and make sure they are well organized and labeled correctly.
  • Shipping and receiving of UPS and pack and ship parts to customers.
  • Build and rebuild PTOs, Pumps.
  • Make push-pull cables; twist lock cables; micro adjust cables; non-locking cables; all other cables.
  • Close daily Parts sales activities in Spokane & send report to appropriate parties.

  • Secondary/Back-up Responsibilities:
  • Provide backup for Parts counter and sell parts to walk-in customers.
  • Work with customers to assure that they are getting the right parts to meet their application
  • Provide backup for walk-ins, incoming calls and e-mails for Parts requests.
  • Fill out parts call sheet to record pertinent info from parts call/requests.
  • Cover parts counter during breaks, vacations, sick leave, etc.
  • Local parts pickup and delivery.
  • Receive material into computerized database
  • Work with pre-production manager to spec hydraulic systems for complex jobs.

    Truck Equipment Technician/Fabricator, ME and NH


    Job Description:
    Hews Company, LLC, a leader in the truck repair and crane industry, is looking for an experienced mechanic/technician/fabricator to install and repair all types of truck mounted equipment including cranes, liftgates, hydraulic systems, overhead doors, service bodies, dump bodies, van bodies, 12V electrical systems, etc., at our South Portland, Maine facility. The qualified candidates should have strong mechanical aptitude and experience with hydraulics, welding and DC electrical systems.
